FEMA Helps with Wyoming Flooding
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) just announced that federal disaster aid will be made available to Wyoming. FEMA ordered federal aid to assist state and local recovery efforts in the area devastated by the severe storms, flooding, flooded basements, and landslides during the following date ranges: May 18 to July 8, 2011.
Federal moneys are available to state and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of structures damaged by the storms, flooding, and landslides throughout the state.
Mark Armstrong was named as the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations. Armstrong said that future designations might be made if needed by the state and warranted by the storm damages.
